The Vivo V70 series is ready for its India launch. Two new smartphones, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite, will be launched in the Indian market. Vivo is hosting a major event in Delhi on February 19th, where the price and sale date of the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite will be announced. Design and Build Quality
The Vivo V70 series features a premium and compact design. Both models feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED display, a departure from the curved screens of previous models. The metal frame is made of precision-forged aluminum, making it sturdy and stylish. The floating camera module is made of aerospace-grade aluminum with faceted highlights that shine in the light. The 16.74 cm golden size is perfect for gripping, and rounded corners provide comfort. Durability is IP68 and IP69, ensuring dust and water resistance – it can survive in 1.5 meters of water for up to 120 minutes.

Screen-wise, the V70 series features a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It displays 1.07 billion colors with 459 PPI, making visuals vibrant. Peak brightness is 5000 nits, providing clear visibility even outdoors. The bezels are just 0.125 cm, the narrowest in the segment. Global brightness reaches 1800 nits.
Performance: Snapdragon Power
In terms of performance, the V70 series is powered by Snapdragon. The V70 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Elite features a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 – both based on a 4nm process. The Elite has an AnTuTu score of 1,889,405, which represents a 92% improvement in GPU performance and a 20% improvement in CPU performance. App launch speeds are 16% faster with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Camera: 50MP Triple Camera
In the camera department, the V70 series is co-engineered by ZEISS. The triple rear setup includes a 50MP ZEISS OIS Main (1.6 cm sensor), a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto (1.3 cm sensor, 3x optical zoom, up to 100x), and a 50MP ZEISS Ultra Wide.

The pricing of the Vivo V70 series has been leaked recently. According to this, the base variant of the Vivo V70 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at ₹45,999. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant could be launched for ₹49,999. Similarly, the starting price of the Vivo V70 Elite is said to be ₹51,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 5G phone with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be launched for ₹56,999, and the 512GB storage variant could be launched for ₹61,999.
The Vivo V70 is a powerful smartphone in the Elite series, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core processor. The Vivo V70 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Both smartphones are powered by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Both Vivo smartphones feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear display with a resolution of 2750 × 1260 pixels. Both feature flat AMOLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4320Hz PWM dimming, 459PPI, 1.07 billion colors, HDR10+, and 5000nits peak brightness. They also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
For photography, the Vivo V70 series uses Zeiss cameras. Both smartphones support a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main OIS sensor, a 50-megapixel night telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens.
For power backup, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite 5G phones feature a 6500mAh battery. The company claims that the phone will deliver up to 40 hours of video streaming on a full charge. To ensure faster charging of the large battery, it will be equipped with 90W fast charging technology. The phone also features Bypass Charging technology, which will supply current directly to the motherboard instead of the battery during heavy performance.
