It was India’s first true performance bike. Early models had a higher proportion of Japanese parts, but later, almost 99% localization was achieved. Reasons for the discontinuation of production included the high price, low mileage (15-25 kmpl mixed), maintenance issues of the two-stroke engine, emission regulations, and the arrival of fuel-efficient bikes like the RX100. But a legend never dies.
