The OPPO A6 series has become like a tree with ever-growing branches. In India, four mobile phones have been launched in this series: A6x 4G, A6 5G, A6x 5G, and A6 Pro 5G. You might be surprised to learn that in China, the company has already introduced 11 smartphone models in this series. The OPPO A6v and A6i+ 5G smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor. This mobile chipset is built on a 6-nanometer architecture and is capable of running at clock speeds ranging from 2.0GHz to 2.4GHz. For graphics, both smartphones are equipped with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Design and Build Quality
Both the OPPO A6i+ and A6v phones come with a modern and slim design. They are just 8.61mm thick and weigh 216 grams, making them easy to carry in your pocket. The design features a large camera module that gives it an iPhone-like look, but with OPPO’s own touch. The A6i+ is available in Glacier White and Chestnut Velvet Brown colors, while the A6v offers vibrant options like Glacier Blue, Titanium Purple, and Wilderness Green.
Display
Both phones feature a large 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1570 pixels. With a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling and gaming feel smooth. The peak brightness is 1,125 nits, providing clear visibility even outdoors. The display also features DC dimming, which reduces eye strain. The screen-to-body ratio is 90.6%, offering an immersive viewing experience.
Performance and Hardware
In terms of performance, both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, based on a 6nm process. It comes with an octa-core CPU (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The A6v comes in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the A6i+ offers 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB options.
Battery and Charging
These phones are stars when it comes to battery life. The OPPO A6i+ boasts a massive 7000mAh battery, which can easily last for two days. The A6v, on the other hand, has a 6500mAh battery, which is also impressive. Both phones feature 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, which charges them from 0 to 50% in minutes. OPPO claims that these batteries will remain durable for up to 5 years without significant degradation.
The OPPO A6v and OPPO A6i+ feature a 6.75-inch HD+ screen with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels in China. This is a punch-hole style flat display built on an LCD panel, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1125 nits peak brightness.
For photography, these new OPPO mobile phones support a dual rear camera setup. On the back panel, there is a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash, which works in conjunction with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the OPPO A6i+ features an 8-megapixel front camera, while the OPPO A6v has a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
For power backup, the OPPO A6v and OPPO A6i+ 5G phones are equipped with a large battery. OPPO has launched the OPPO A6i+ with a powerful 7000mAh battery, while the OPPO A6v comes with a 6500mAh battery. Both OPPO phones support 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology. The OPPO A6v model also offers OTG support.
The OPPO A6i+ boasts an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating, providing protection against dust and water. The OPPO A6v, on the other hand, has an IP64 rating, which protects it from water splashes. Both OPPO phones support 16GB of virtual RAM, effectively more than doubling the physical RAM.
The OPPO A6i+ has been launched in China in three variants. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 1499 yuan, which is approximately ₹19,699. The 12GB RAM variant is available with 256GB and 512GB of memory, priced at 1599 yuan (approximately ₹21,000) and 1799 yuan (approximately ₹23,000) respectively. It is available in Glacier White and Velvet Brown colors.
The OPPO A6v is priced at 1199 yuan for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which is approximately ₹15,799 in Indian currency. In China, this smartphone will be available in Glacier Blue, Titanium Rock Purple, and Wilderness Green colors. There is no confirmation yet on whether these two new OPPO phones will be launched in the Indian market.
